Geodrill Ghana Ltd, a drilling exploration company in the mining sector, has presented a cheque for GH¢150,000 to The Mfantsipim Old Boys Association(MOBA) year groups of 1961, 1971, 1981 1991 and 2001 for the school’s 145th anniversary project. The amount is Geodrill’s contribution towards the construction of an excellent integrated sports complex with state-of-the-art sporting facilities for football, volleyball, swimming and basketball, among others.
The cheque, presented by the company’s CEO, David Harper, was received by the President of the MOBA and the chairman of the 2021 SYGs Planning Committee, Ahmed Bedwei and Isaac Henry Achiampong, Head-Legal & Admin of Regimanuel gray.
Mr. Harper emphasised the importance of the development of sport for the youth in Ghana and he expressed his hope that the development of sport in Mfantsipim School would set them on the path to successful Athletes and to contribute meaningfully to sport in Ghana.
Mr. Harper encouraged other companies to take their Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) obligations seriously and support worthy institutions to fulfil their mission.
