Geodrill Ghana Limited has constructed a 2-seater Water Closet toilet facility and ablution block for the Anwiankwanta Police station in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
The project was done at the request of the Chief of Anwiankwanta, Nana Ntow Nyinah II, at a cost of 50,000 GHS and includes a mechanized water borehole to serve the service personnel of the station.
Expressing their appreciation for the gesture, the Inspector of the Station, Chief Inspector Duncan, thanked the Geodrill management for the initiative. Chief Inspector Duncan said the service personnel would previously have to attend a public place of convenience.
Chief Inspector Duncan further continued to request continuous collaboration with Geodrill to enable them discharge their duties in the community.
Commenting on behalf of Geodrill, Mr Felix Owusu said the Company is always seeking ways to engage to improve livelihoods in the communities in which it operates. Mr Owusu reiterated the Company has also recently donated two water boreholes with poly tanks to the Bekwai District Police Station and the Ghana National Fire Service at a cost of 35,000 GHS.
