In September 2012, Geodrill saw a great need within several schools surrounding its Operations Base in Kumasi. These schools were significantly under resourced including a lack of qualified teachers. The implication of this was proving detrimental. Therefore, Geodrill did not hesitate to lend a helping hand to three schools, namely: Bekwai Adventist Preparatory, Ofoase-Kokoben and Huntado M/A Basic School with ages ranging from as young as 4 years old to 12 years old. Geodrill’s donation included huge quantities of educational materials such as notebooks, school bags, pens and pencils. In addition the company provided sports gears, which consisted of football boots, jerseys, hoses, basketballs and pumps. Geodrill hopes that these contributions will empower the pupils to engage more with their academic work and enjoy some recreational activities now and in the years to come.
